The obsolete spelling of ‘heart’ is missing a letter, like this is missing a valve. Interestingly, it also means ‘red deer’ which this colour reminds me of. Hart is hand sculpted then texturised by carving it while the clay is wet. This one was triple-dipped before final firing.
