MONDAYS 7.30-830
THE NEST COMMUNITY BUILDING & LIBRARY, 3 CYGNET SQUARE, THAMESMEAD, SE2 9FA

What are the sessions like?

After 20 years of practice and and a British Wheel of Yoga accreditation, I continue to explore a variety of movement techniques and disciplines and incorporate them when useful.  I try to keep the sessions non-dogmatic, unburdened .so that the practice has a bit of lightness - we want it to feel good!

The sessions are slow, often beginning lying down stop settle, we then go into exploration-based movement synchronised with breath

My intention is to teach yoga with care, attentiveness and a good understanding of healthy alignment

Location

We have a beautiful space overlooking the Southmere lake at The Nest Community Building and Library, 3 Cygnet Square, Thamesmead SE2 9FA

Facilities

There are changing rooms and toilets.

Bring your own mat, if you’re trying yoga for the first time, there is a spare you can use - let me know in advance. Props are provided (blocks, blacket, straps)

Come through the main entrance to the library.  Turn right, buzz the buzzer and wait to be let in.
Please come ready to start at 7.30 to keep disruption to a minimum

Why are there multiple prices?

Yoga should be for everyone, so I use sliding scale pricing to make it possible for everyone to practice, whatever your financial situation.

That said, it is important to uphold the spirit of recognition, I would strongly encourage some sort of exchange - so contribute what you can.  I ask those who can afford the standard pricing to do so - this may change week to week, and that’s ok

I also want to give the opportunity try out the class without any commitment, so the first class is complimentary - tell your friends!

A bit about me

My name is Rein and i’ve been practicing yoga for 20 years. In 2017, I completed a two year teacher training that covered physical practice (Asana), anatomy, breathwork, philosophy and languaging, I went on to mentor other yoga teachers-in-training and continue to add to my knowledge from a variety of movement practices.

I also like to run (albeit, very slowly!), hike and do strength training – I believe that varied movement is key to keeping the body supple and free as we age. I supplement my physical practice with multiple modes of mindfulness and meditation. The wide range of reference points allow me to facilitate sessions that can span across different body types, limitations and experience.
